FAMILY TRAVELS (intro)

Summer season, the Holidays and of course yours or a member of the family's birthday are all the main reason we save up and go on a nice vacation. But why do we have to wait for those events to search for an adventure? I get it - same as my reasoning: Money & Time.

Over the weekend, I see our son play, color, read, watch TV, pace around the house and I feel bad seeing his "I-am-bored-face" and sometimes play dates are hard to coordinate as well. We go to the park sometimes, but after a while, I see his bored face again.

So since I have a full access to the internet - I started searching for "what to do over the weekend" - then I found myself, palm on the forehead expression:
WHY HAVEN'T I SEARCHED FOR THESE BEFORE?

There are tons of sites out there that will give you cheap, almost FREE tickets and a lot too are just local - some even a 15-30 minute drive!

So my husband and I decided to search for places locally and EXPLORE! a quick hike or a new park!

Ever since we started searching and going to places almost every weekend, my son became more into nature and its beauty, he learns to appreciate his surroundings and LOVES to capture almost everything. Save up for a new (not too expensive) camera or just a hand me down ones for your child and have THEM capture the moment. Make a travel album where he can go over the pictures to relive the experience. Now, our son looks forward to the weekend and see what new adventure awaits!

Here are some of the apps and sites I use to search for events and new places:
(only available for Bank of America customers)
• Eventbrite •
(you can download the app too!)
• Visit (insert place here) .com •
(they have a link that will take you to free tickets)
or just search for local events in your town!
